A masterpiece of traditional Indian handcraft, this Hand Block Printed Maheshwari Silk Saree in deep midnight navy is a breathtaking display of artisanal excellence. Woven in pure silk-by-silk Maheshwari fabric — completely free from synthetic chemicals and skin-safe — this saree combines the richness of heritage weaving with the artistry of hand block printing.
The Craft Every inch of this saree has been meticulously hand-stamped using hand-carved wooden blocks by master craftsmen, carrying forward India's age-old block-printing legacy. The motifs are rendered in a vibrant multicolour palette of deep red, antique gold, teal, and ivory against the striking navy base — a hallmark of classic Bagru and Ajrakh-inspired printing traditions.
The Body The saree body features an all-over butis (small floral-geometric motifs) in red and gold, scattered rhythmically across the navy field. Each buti is delicately detailed — a sunburst medallion with fine petal and dot work — lending the fabric a jewel-like density that catches light beautifully.
The Border & Pallu The border carries bold, layered geometric bands — interlocking star lattices, zigzag wave patterns in red and green, and circular mandala motifs — all framed by a woven antique gold zari border that adds luminous definition. The pallu is a dramatic composition of the same motifs in a larger, more elaborate repeat, making it the visual centrepiece of the drape — rich, graphic, and deeply traditional.
